Welcome to the Berkshire East UK Group

It is our aim to provide help and support to people living with diabetes in the UK.

We do this primarily through group meetings, designed with the express purpose of providing individuals with a safe, social forum to discuss diabetes and its effects.

Peer support is vital to help manage this complex and demanding condition

Some of our members offer peer support on a one off meet up in a coffee shop or  via a series of scheduled meetings to discuss various aspects of diabetes such as exercise, glucose testing, low carbs, travel etc from a fellow helpful supporting point of view. Contact us if you wish to avail yourself of this support. Take a look at Diabetes Family on Facebook compiled by one of our members Deb Snow. This tries to collect together the latest news, tips, articles and events around Diabetes from a peer support perspective.

When and where we can, we also try to raise money to promote awareness of diabetes and generally contribute in any way we can.

Whether you have been diagnosed yourself or if you are simply an individual with a desire for knowledge and an inclination to take part, we welcome you to our group.
